“Karen Harrington Fined by Federal Election Commission
Karen Harrington, a Republican candidate for US Congress CD 23, was fined $1,500 by the Federal Election Commission for failure to disclose all financial activity. Harrington, Gineen Bresso, Ozzie DeFaria, Juan Eliel Garcia and Joe Kaufman are vying for the GOP nomination. The winner will face Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Out of Touch) in November.
The FEC found that in April and July 2011, Harrington failed to disclose $223.75 in receipts, $5,421.92 in disbursements and $55,878.41 in additional debt. ”
