“We are continuing to monitor the situation with Tropical Storm Isaac. We currently plan to move forward with all Sunday events as scheduled. However, we have just received word from RNC Chairman Reince Priebus that due to likely inclement weather conditions, the Republican National Convention will convene on Monday, August 27th and immediately recess until Tuesday afternoon, August 28th, with the exact time to be determined. We will still be required to have a majority of our delegation in attendance at the Convention on Monday. Please see the attached memo from the RNC for additional details.”
